CornerStone Medical Services is looking for a Revenue Cycle Documentation Coordinator. The Revenue Cycle Documentation Coordinator is responsible for expediting and facilitating the medical documentation and signatures that are needed for manual and electronic claim submission for assigned cities/payers with thorough monitoring of documentation to meet timely filing deadlines and resolution of medical necessity denials.

Conduct organized and regular follow-up in order to obtain Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMN’s) and generic physician orders from physicians’ offices.
Follow up work on CMN’s and generic physician orders as necessary for appropriate completion of billing process.
Attend meetings, billing meetings, and review reference publications and updates.
Point of contact for the Revenue Cycle billing team for the Reauthorization process, specifically by obtaining medical records and testing as well as hard copy CMN’S that may have been logged from a script.
Run reports monthly to assist in obtaining necessary renewals in a timely manner.
Review CMN on hold report weekly. Investigate and resolve claims that have been pending for more than 30 days.
Assist Respiratory staff and billing staff to obtain appropriate information for patients that require retesting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years experience in related field preferably with HME. Able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude.
Basic knowledge of excel for the ability to maintain spreadsheets for tracking different projects or reports as necessary.
PC experience for monitoring incoming and outgoing CMN’s, physician orders, etc. Along with the ability to run and work required reports ie: Held revenue and held PA reports.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Must be detail oriented and able to follow through and meet established deadlines.
Able to work independently and with minimum supervision
Familiarity with insurance rules and regulations (Federal/state/local programs) preferred and thorough knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing codes, universal billing formats, prior authorizations, eligibility verifications.
